I Love Italian Wine and Food - Reviewing The Whites
I recently finished a wine tour of Italy?s twenty administrative regions, briefly describing each region prior to tasting a representative wine with food, and at least one imported Italian cheese. I enjoyed the experience so much that I plan to repeat it, but only after doing something similar for France and perhaps a few other countries. I am happy enough with Italian wine to continue to drink it for the rest of my days, but there are other wine-producing countries out there, and other wines to drink. I am going to give you a bit of a report on the white wines I encountered on this wine tour, but only after a quick summary of Italian white wines, as if such an endeavor was possible. Look for a similar article on Italian red wines.
I Love Italian Wine and Food - The Bascilicata Region
If you are looking for fine Italian wine and food, consider the Bascilicata region of southern Italy. You may find a bargain, and I hope that you?ll have fun on this fact-filled wine education tour.

Decanting Napa Valley Offers New Resource For Upscale Wine Country Traveler And Connoisseur
(PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- An elegant new publication has just been launched to target affluent wine connoisseurs and visitors to the Napa Valley. In the tradition of such by-invitation-only entities as Relais & Chateaux, the new publication, Decanting Napa Valley, is an association of prestigious travel, food, and wine resources in California's best-known viticultural region.
Featured wineries include such respected names as Caldwell Vineyard, Revana Vineyards, and Patz & Hall; hotels and resorts such as Auberge du Soleil and Meadowood; and restaurants such as The French Laundry and Redd. Since the publication is membership-supported, it is free of advertisements. The copy, written by an experienced travel writer, is editorial in voice rather than the advertorial tone of so many guidebooks.
Innovative Marketing Partnership
DNV's innovative marketing partnership with Viviani Travel Destinations, Inc. provides the support of three auxiliary services: Viviani's specialized itineraries, specifically targeted to the upscale traveler, will be featured in the publication. Its V Concierge will provide complete luxury travel assistance and customized access to wineries. And the new Appellation Connoisseur, the only appellation-specific wine club, will showcase some of the valley's most sought-after wines.
Multimedia Distribution
The publication is available in hard-copy, PDF, and Web book (http://decantingnapavalley.com) formats and is being marketed in a variety of ways: Distributed by members and concierges at luxury hotels in San Francisco and the Napa Valley; emailed to Viviani's 25,000-plus Fortune 500 clientele database and its partnerships with Neiman Marcus Incircle, American Express, Virtuoso and Abercrombie and Kent travel associations.
Concierges and travel agents will receive commissions based on tours and itineraries featured in the book and on the web site.
