Wood Wine Racks ? Wine Collectors? Preferred Choice
Wood wine storage racks are the pioneers of wine racks with tradition reaching centuries back in history. They are strongly connected to the fist usage of cork for sealing wine bottles. French wine makers were the first to use cork stoppers in late 1600s. Before that oil-soaked rags stuffed into the necks of bottles were used to prevent wine from loosing its quality. Even though first wooden wine racks in 1600s were made solely for storing wine, the importance of right wine storage has been recognize much later. Today we know that cork plays an important role in supporting the optimal conditions for wine to mature. And a fine wood wine rack falls perfectly into the overall picture of wine tradition. That is why wood stays the preferred choi...
Health benefits of Red Wine
Several times this question has been raised, whether red wine is good for heart disease or not. May be yes, many studies investigated the benefits of red wine for heart disease. It is suggested that moderate amount of red wine (one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men) reduces the risk of heart attack for middle age people by 40 to 50 percent. It is also recommended that alcohol such as red wine might also prevent additional heart attacks if previously you have suffered from heart attack. It is also suggested that reasonable drinking of wine could be viewed as a set off, rather than an alternative, to lifestyle involvement as regular physical activity, weight loss and quitting smoking.
How To Choose Wine Glasses
Wine is about more than the taste There is a depth to wine that is important to the true wine connoisseur
The Joys Of White Wine
Red wines have been very popular lately, thanks to medical reports about their antioxidant and heart-protecting properties. It's true that red wines are amazing, but that doesn't mean the other less noticed kinds of wine are bad. White wines are in fact divine, when it comes to their subtle aroma and taste it's more than the senses with a right amount of sweetness and delicately combined with mild sources.
Spanish Food and Drinks: Tapas, Gazpacho, Paella, Cava, Sangria, and Rivers of Red Wine
Spanish food and drink – Spanish cuisine, if you will – is quite different from how it may be perceived in the United States. In fact, when most Americans think of Spanish food they tend to think of dishes that hail from Mexico rather than Spain.
Can the Red Wine Molecule Actually Add Twenty Years to the Life Span of Humans? A New Study by Doctors in England Confirms High Dosages of Resveratrol
Resveratrol has become the anti-aging story of 2007 and possibly the decade. If you decide to try this so-called "Miracle Molecule" there are some things you should know first, facts and myths about resveratrol supplements.
Red Wine And The Aging Process
Recent research suggests that aging as we know it may not be inevitable. We know that some animals do not seem to age such as many cold-water ocean fish, some amphibians and the American lobster continue to grow bigger, are able to reproduce and to live until something kills them. Some people believe that because of the animals that do not seem to age that it could be something in their genes, and possibly in our genes, that controls the pace of aging, and that aging is not the fate of every living thing.

I Love Italian Wine and Food - Reviewing The Reds
I recently finished a wine tour of Italy?s twenty administrative regions, briefly describing each region prior to tasting a representative wine with food, and at least one imported Italian cheese. I enjoyed this experience so much that I plan to repeat it, but only after doing something similar for France and perhaps a few other countries. I am happy enough with Italian wine to continue to drink it for the rest of my days, but there are other wine-producing countries out there, and other wines to drink. I am going to give you a bit of a report on the red wines I encountered on this wine tour, but only after a quick summary of Italian red wines, as if such an endeavor was possible. Look for a similar article on Italian white wines.

Summer Food and Wine Festivals Help Beat the Florida Heat
Tampa, FL (PRWeb) June 27, 2007 -- Cool off this summer at one of the food and wine festivals coming to Florida. Enjoy the refreshing taste of wine and beer from around the world, without having to leave the state.
Whether it's the Gavel and Grapes Festival, WaZoo at Lowry Park Zoo, or the Taste of Weston, there's a variety of elegant wines and boutique beers to help beat the Florida heat. "So come out of your beer stein and taste-test some unique and different brews. Drink outside the beer bottle--and definitely outside the wine box!" writes Joan Steinbacher, author of "Food Fest! Your Complete Guide to Florida's Food Festivals."
All these events offer a tantalizing selection of local cuisine in addition to the various beverage samplings.
But if wine and beer events aren't to your liking, there are other food festivals to tempt your taste buds this summer. Seafood takes center stage at the Gulf County Scallop Festival and the Key West Lobsterfest. And clams highlight the Clamerica Celebration where the unique contests--clam shucking, clam bag races, clam hunt, and more--may be a bigger draw than the clams themselves! Health-conscious festival-goes can try one of the mango festivals and savor the many flavors of this luscious tropical fruit.
As usual, there's plenty of entertainment at each event, including arts and crafts, live music, and more.
Don't miss out on another fun Florida food event! Here's a sampling of what's coming to Florida this summer:
* Cedar Key - Clamerica Celebration (July 4)
* Coral Gables - International Mango Festival (July 14-15)
* Pine Island - Mangomania Tropical Fruit Fair (July 14-15)
* Tarpon Springs - Gavel and Grapes Festival (July 21)
* Tampa - WaZoo (August 4)
* Key West - Lobsterfest (August 10-12)
* Port St. Joe - Gulf County Scallop Festival (August 18-19)
* Fort Lauderdale - Taste of Weston (August 29)
So enjoy a spontaneous day trip or weekend getaway with your family and friends this summer! For additional information and more events, visit "Food Fest!"--the ultimate "foodies" travel guide--at www.FoodFestGuide.com
