Sophistication and Opulence in Napa Valley
Even if you?re not from the Bay Area, you?d probably know what Napa Valley is famous for---W-I-N-E. From bottles of Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and hundreds more, a trip to the winery certainly spells sophistication. Imagine wearing a pastel summer dress tasting an elegantly oak-aged Chardonnay, waking all your senses with its light yellowish hue, with its fruity taste reminiscent of fresh pear and its floral, spring-like aroma---this is luxury in its finest. The only thing that is missing from the picturesque scene is the transportation. With this raised, why not try one of the Bay Area limousine services? This is a good way to cap off your vineyard tour.
Red Wine A Classic Taste For Any Time
When it comes to red wine, it can get confusing as to which kind of wine is right for you. There is such a wide variety of grape types that go into wine production that you can find yourself bewildered when faced with a supermarket shelf.
How To Play Cupid For Food And Wine
When it comes to food and wine, most people are brought up with the rule stating ?red goes with red, white goes with white?, which means red wine goes with red meat while white wine goes with fish and poultry. Then came the ?postmodern? maxim which says that ?if you like the taste, the match is perfect?.
Red Wine And The Aging Process
Recent research suggests that aging as we know it may not be inevitable. We know that some animals do not seem to age such as many cold-water ocean fish, some amphibians and the American lobster continue to grow bigger, are able to reproduce and to live until something kills them. Some people believe that because of the animals that do not seem to age that it could be something in their genes, and possibly in our genes, that controls the pace of aging, and that aging is not the fate of every living thing.
Never be Afraid to do Some Food and Wine Pairing
Years ago, if you would ask a wine expert or die hard enthusiast about which wine to choose with a certain kind of food they would talk about rules that you had to follow when you want to pair food and wine These days however the rules aren't that strict anymore because wine is becoming more and more popular with a much broader audience

Most people have a general idea how many calories they consume when it comes to solid foods, although it is quite common to forget that when we drink, we are still consuming calories. Former Wall Street Trader Realizes his Dream with Inaugural Pinot Noir Release - Jamie Kutch Scores 93 Points from the Wine Spectator
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 2, 2007 -- For Jamie Kutch, the good life has little to do with corporate America. Kutch, a former NASDAQ trader from Merrill Lynch traded Wall Street and stocks for the Sonoma Coast & Pinot Noir in 2005 and from his recent 93 point score from the Wine Spectator, it seems to be paying off.
In true fairytale fashion, he decided to pursue his passion for wine and make it his full-time job. "I was tired of wearing a suit everyday and chasing a buck," says Kutch. "I wanted to follow a dream, to produce something with my own two hands."
In 2005, Kutch proclaimed on Robert Parker's chat board that his lips had just tasted the greatest CA Pinot Noir ever made. He phoned Michael Browne of Kosta Browne Wines to congratulate him on making such a stunning wine and then followed up with an email saying, "you are truly living my dream." Michael's reply changed Jamie's life when he remarked "if it truly is your dream, I will help make it a reality if you want it bad enough."
One month later, he packed his bags and never looked back. Kutch released his first vintage of 2005 Russian River Pinot Noir in late February and due in part to a strong buzz online, Kutch's wines have already had something of a cult following. Most of the 151 cases are already sold out.
Wine Spectator's James Laube called Kutch's first wine "delicious and remarkable." "It's fragrant, delicate, smooth, rich in flavor, impeccably balanced and long and complex on the finish," he writes. The wine was aged on the lees for 16 months, fermented in 100 percent French oak, 33 percent of which was new, and derived from Amber Ridge and Demeo vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley.
Though the sales of the 2005 Russian River Pinot Noir went fast, those looking to experience Kutch wines need not worry; by joining his mailing list, subscribers gain first access to upcoming releases. Fortunately, Jamie had an opportunity to work with fruit from Kanzler vineyard in 2006 for which Kosta Browne was awarded 98 points from the Wine Spectator last year. Kutch plans to keep future production small and will only grow according to quality, selling exclusively to mailing list customers and high-end restaurants.

The web site gives visitors the added bonus of watching "Love Amongst the Grapes," a video in which Kutch proposes to his longtime girlfriend, who moved with him from New York. Not surprisingly, Kristen discovers a diamond ring while sorting Pinot Noir grapes on a sorting table during Kutch's first harvest.
With the two loves of his life close at hand -- girlfriend and Pinot Noir - Kutch's dream has finally come true.
