The reality shows that custom wine racks are rarely the only solution that matches ones wine storage needs. People will decide for a custom wine rack predominantly for one of following two reasons. They want a wine storage rack that perfectly fits the room in terms of dimensions; or the...

An Austrian Red Wine Receives World Class Score in American Wine Publication for the First Time
Los Angeles, CA (PRWeb) March 8, 2007 -- The "Moric" wine from Austria has received 94 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. This is the highest score ever achieved by a red wine from Austria in a major American wine publication.
David Schildknecht, the Austrian wine reviewer for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, writes of winemaker Roland Velich and the Moric: "His are wines in a style you will not encounter anywhere else in Austria: Blaufrankisch vinified as if it were Grand Cru Burgundy."
Austria has long been ranked amongst the best regions in the world for their white and dessert wines, regularly scoring points up to 100. Austrian red wines had only earned scores in the 80's, with a few in the low 90's, from publications such as the Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast. However, the quality of these wines has been improving dramatically over the past decade. There is a "nature vs. nurture" debate going on as to whether this improvement is due to greater red winemaking skills, or if global warming is playing a part.
"Greatness in wine is never in the obvious, never in the superficial, never on the surface. Greatness in wine is in the nuances, it is hidden in the depth of a wine and will come forward and show itself only to the patient those willing to spend the extra time and effort." Roland Velich of Moric explains.
The vines used to produce the Moric wines are between 40 to 110 years old. Production of the top two Moric wines, the Alte Reben ("old vines") Lutzmannsburg and Neckenmarkt, is extremely limited and as such is exclusively available from a single U.S. importer: Winemonger LLC, based in Los Angeles.
The importer has made it available direct to the consumer via their retail website: www.Winemonger.com. Winemonger.com can legally ship wine to consumers in 27 states, taking advantage of the recent Supreme Court ruling.
